The high elevation of Obertauern (1,800m to 2,200m) guarantees skiing fun and boarder bliss from the end of November until the beginning of May. Modern, comfortable lifts provide ready access to Obertauern's sunny slopes, awaiting with a boundless range of black, blue and red runs that appeal to even the most demanding of tastes.

Awaiting you in the midst of Salzburg's mountain world are around 100 km of magical slopes. And you don't even need your car since, no matter where you happen to be in Obertauern, you are only a few minutes away from all of the skiing action. The lifts have been so cleverly networked that you can ski down all of the slopes and always end up where you first started out from.

Obertauern greets you with 26 cable cars and lifts located around the town and a unique array of ski slopes - the red-and-green hills that make up the "Tauernrunde". 61 km of easy, 35 km of intermediate and 4 km of expert slopes are all just waiting to be discovered by you.
