In our cosy Heustadl restaurant we place great emphasis on high-quality ingredients and fresh regional produce. We run our farm with its suckler-cow herd and the Breitlehengut in Untertauern with great dedication and passion. From there we proudly source 100 % of the high-quality beef for the Hotel Breitlehenalm and the Heustadl.

Since our cattle spend the summer in Obertauern around the hotel and the Heustadl enjoying the finest grasses, alpine herbs and plenty of exercise, we can guarantee excellent meat quality.
Whether a juicy steak, a tasty burger or a hot goulash soup according to grandma’s old farmhouse recipe – see for yourself and let yourself in for unforgettable taste experiences. On our menu you will find local classics such as Wiener Schnitzel, Kasnocken served in a farmhouse pan or a traditional Kaiserschmarrn.

When the last turns have been carved and the skis are parked outside the door, the day at the Heustadl is far from over. On our sun terrace and in the rustic hut, the music gets louder, glasses are raised, and there is singing and dancing. Come by and celebrate with us – after all, a really good ski day in Obertauern deserves a really good après-ski.

On our speciality evenings, dinner is served from 6.00 pm: our kitchen team spoils you with selected dishes and regional delicacies. Hot food is served until 8.00 pm. And if you fancy something else, you can of course also choose from our evening menu.

Celebrations should be celebrated as they come – and at the Heustadl we do so with particular pleasure. At Christmas and New Year’s Eve, festively laid tables, special dishes and many lovely moments to enjoy together await you.
At Christmas, things get cosy and contemplative with us. Bring your loved ones along and look forward to a festive à-la-carte Christmas menu in an atmospheric setting.
On New Year’s Eve, it may get a little louder: together we celebrate into the new year, serve local delicacies and look forward to the fireworks against the wintry backdrop of Obertauern.
As seats on these evenings are in particularly high demand, we kindly ask you to reserve your table early.
